BI top list of CIO concerns

According to the Global CIO Study, CIOs goals on implementing virtualization, is to streamline IT infrastructure by maximizing existing equipment, followed by risk management and compliance. Based on a survey of 2,500 companies from 78 countries, 83 percent or 2,075 companies said business intelligence and analytics are their major concerns largely due to the need to keep up their business amid growth competition and economic challenges. Seventy-six percent or 1,900 companies also look at virtualization as a secondary concern. Meanwhile, 71 percent or 1,775 companies are looking at risk management and compliance as their next concern.
