Top HDTV markets in the U.S. include NYC, LA, and DC, says analyst

The Nielsen Company estimates that 13.7 percent of TV households in the U.S. are equipped with an HD television and HD tuner capable of receiving signals in HD (HD Capable), while 11.3 percent are equipped with an HD television and HD tuner and receive at least one HD network or station (HD Receivable). Los Angeles, New York City, and Washington, D.C. have the highest penetrations of HD capable homes and HD Receiveable homes.
