A survey from Evans Data examines how databases are factoring into today’s IT initiatives, including areas such as Web services and mobile computing… Developers working with Web services are split evenly between Microsoft’s .NET architecture (54 percent) and J2EE environments (53 percent) such as those from Oracle, BEA, and IBM. Of J2EE developers, 14 percent use the platform more than half the time; 10 percent of .NET developers use that environment more than half the time.
