The digital mass storage integrated circuit (IC) market will reach revenues of $3.7 billion, an 8 percent increase over last year, and will post much higher growth in 2007, according to Databeans. The semiconductor analysts say SoC is the largest and fastest growing category of digital mass storage chips, with over $2 billion in revenue expected for 2006, and an average yearly growth rate of 13 percent for the forecast period.
