The increase in the demand for gadgets, computers and other consumer electronics revived the global semiconductor and electronics industry. According to IT research and advisory company Gartner Inc., the semiconductor industry is poised for a strong growth in 2010. Gartner estimates that the industry’s worldwide revenue in 2010 could reach $276 billion, a 19.9-percent increase from the 2009 revenue of $231 billion.
