Aberdeen conducted a survey in conjunction with this report that found a majority of top security performers commonly employ several best practices. Establishing a consistent risk management framework, along with performing consistent risk assessments (both qualitative and quantitative) were high priority actions. Aberdeen reports that of those surveyed, 58 percent have standardized incident response, both reactive and proactive. Mapping corporate objectives to established risk parameters is routine for 52 percent of best in class.
