VoIP equipment revenue dip is ‘no cause for alarm’

Revenues for VoIP equipment suppliers dipped 8 per cent in the first quarter of 2007 compared to the previous four months, according to new research.

A lot of people expected that the first quarter wouldn’t be that great. The fourth quarter was very robust so we expected some kind of slowdown.”

Infonetics reported that the general trend for VoIP equipment remains increasing year-on-year revenues, with growth currently at 14 per cent as more companies sign up to internet-based communications services.
