The analyst recommended that businesses investigate how cloud computing can be used in software development by researching how the cloud affects the rest of the company’s IT architecture.
The analyst said that businesses should move away from their existing .net and Java Enterprise Edition platforms and instead adopt low-cost alternatives such as Adobe Flex, Apache Tomcat, The Dojo Foundation, Drupal, Google Web Toolkit, Open Source Matters Joomla!, Red Hat JBoss, Ruby on Rails, SpringSource and the Zend Framework
