Starting salaries for IT pros to jump in 2008

Starting salaries for IT jobs will increase by an average 5.3% next year, according to the recently released Robert Half Technology 2008 Salary Guide. Network management was cited as one of the skills, along with applications and Web development, and database administration as seeing a larger increase in base compensation, according to the guide.
