Mobile M2M Market Set for 24% CAGR Growth, Says Analyst

The mobile machine-to-machine (M2M) communications annual market is set to grow from less than $16 billion in 2008 to over $57 billion in 2014, according to Strategy Analytics (Boston, Mass.). This represents a compound annual growth rate of 24 percent, which would yield a market size of $20 billion in 2009 and nearly $25 billion in 2010. This is a much more modest CAGR figure than that of 37.9 percent for the period 2008 to 2012, given by Berg Insights for connection growth.
